I travel all over the West Midlands and beyond for my work. I take pictures when out running, cycling, walking. I see so much I'd like to keep a record.

We've travelled all over in our VW campervan - I'm not a photographer, but I hope I can capture just a little of what I see. Over the weekend I posted pictures of this rare VW I saw at Shugborough Hall. I believe this to be a 1952 Volkswagen Hebmuller Type 18A Police cabriolet.Based on the type 82 Kubelwagon military vehicle used in WW2. I may be wrong, my knowledge of VW’s is good but this had me stumped - I thought at first when I saw it it was a Tyope 82E staff car , but as a cabriolet? Googling gives me the Hebmuller, which normally wouldn’t have doors, just canvas covers. 

I photographed this on the carpark at Shugborough Hall midweek. Obviously in regular use with stuff inside it seems an awfully rare car to see just parked there, great to see it being used though. 

Anyone confirm what it is? am I right or wrong?

I passed Volks Magic in Oldbury - they have spares for any VW , air and water cooled, Vans Beetles Golfs etc It’s a real treasure trove of unusual bit and pieces. Always something differetn parked outside. They also do restorations and have been on Sky TV . http://volksmagic.sik2k.com/index2.php

Saw this last week , slowly rotting into the ground 1969 VW 1500 Beetle, low mileage , one owner. Now a basket case. Sad
