This blog is ALL my OWN work , I take all the Photos myself. I use a basic Samsung PL 22 14mp camera with 5x zoom.

I travel all over the West Midlands and beyond for my work. I take pictures when out running, cycling, walking. I see so much I'd like to keep a record.

We've travelled all over in our VW campervan - I'm not a photographer, but I hope I can capture just a little of what I see. Please click on the photos for information about them and click again for a large image. Please feel free to reblog as many photos as you like - search the archive for more it goes back to March 2012.

This is the giant cruise liner Queen Mary 2 , sailing out of the Solent from Southampton . This was taken about 2008 off the spit of land where Calshot Castle is at low water. Calshot Castle was built by Henry VIII as part of out coastal defences, in WW1 and WW2 the spit of land was used as a Flying boat base, in WW2 Sunderland Flying boats flew from here to protect convoys and hunt U boats.
Now the area is used as a Leisure centre with the giant hangers housing a Velodrome, Indoor Climbing wall and dry ski slope. There is a boat yard there too and several boating clubs.
A private campsite there has given us many years of pleasure in our VW campervan
